About me

My art is an accumulation of my life long enjoyment of seeing and doing art. Growing up going to the National Galley in my birth place of Washington DC may have led me down the path I have enjoyed.

I recently moved to Leiden to care for my dutch wife Josiane and wish to share our energies, knowledge and art with our new community. See Josiane at international festival representing the Netherlands.

My early years in construction management and later years working with nonprofit organizations managing disaster response has built my foundation in the art world. As an owner and manager I am proficient with all the trades: concrete, stone, wood, cabinetry, paints, welding, plasters.

That knowledge transcended to the art world. It was a good education. I painted ,I sculpted, I made frames, ran many community activities that had art for children. Art therapy was include with many of the community based recovery programs I managed.

Fund raising and the art community have always worked closely together. That community became my community. I have studied art and taken classes from many artisans around the world.

I continue to help the non profit art community. At our home in Evergreen Colorado before coming to Leiden I volunteered on two boards, Sculpture Evergreen and Center for the arts Evergreen. We intend to become part of the Dutch art community. .

Art was and still is my personal therapy. Done at home after work for years. Please enjoy the fruits of my labor.
